SDL Surveying will be hosting a ‘Curry and a Chaat’ evening on Wednesday 22nd May in partnership with Haveli restaurant in Beeston, in support of Mental Health Awareness week which took place last week!
The evening is aimed at getting people together to enjoy a curry and beers whilst having a chat with friends, all to raise awareness for the importance of addressing mental health issues. Haveli restaurant in Beeston have so kindly offered to provide delicious food for the evening at a heavily reduced rate.
The event will also involve a game of bingo which will be a great way to round off the festivities after eating some delicious Indian cuisine, which will include a chicken curry, vegetarian curry, rice and naan breads for our SDL people to enjoy.
Mental Health Awareness Week took place from the 13th-19th May, and SDL was a hub of activity in aid of the important week. On Wednesday, SDL Surveying hosted an “I got out of bed today!” day, which involved staff across the group coming to work in their cosiest pyjamas or onesies, to raise awareness about the difficult many people who battle with mental health issues can face on a daily basis. The day celebrated our people’s commitment to ‘getting out of bed!’, which can be a big feat for anyone who suffers from anxiety or depression.
We are super excited to have Haveli join us this week, and just can’t wait to have the opportunity to offer our people some delicious food and camaraderie with friends. Haveli were awarded TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence for three consecutive years, as well as being highly recommended by the Gourmet Society, so it promises to be a fantastic evening and for such a great cause!
