At SDL Surveying, we work with most major banks in the UK as the country’s largest independent provider of mortgage valuations. We also complete a range of private home surveys directly on behalf of consumers.
To carry out this surveying work, we employ VRS Registered, AssocRICS, MRICS and FRICS surveyors nationwide. And we’re constantly recruiting due to our strong business performance and growing market share!

The SDL Academy was created to enable our people to develop personally and professionally. While our training managers support employees at all levels, they play a particularly important role in helping colleagues who are studying to become a surveyor by attaining their AssocRICS accreditation via one of the many qualification routes.
In addition, while some AssocRICS surveyors want to do as much fee-earning work as possible, others prefer to focus on attaining full MRICS status as soon as they can. The SDL Academy also offers a structured APC training programme for those individuals. This includes mock interview practice and boasts an 87% pass rate to date.
Finally, at SDL we also support our more experienced surveyors with becoming an RICS Fellow (FRICS). FRICS demonstrates that an individual has extensive experience and has made a long-term commitment to the surveying profession. Our training managers are on hand to help candidates demonstrate the fellowship characteristics required to pass the rigorous FRICS assessment.
